Lean How To Start A Blog Now

By Frank Gibson

Blogging can be a lot of fun. But it is also a lot of hard work. Of course, this depends on how you go about it and what your intentions are. Some people want to take it more seriously and decide to make money out of it. Other people want to get their message across. There are people who want to learn how to start a blog, simply because this is something they want to do in their spare time.

There are a couple of steps that lie ahead. They may be confusing, but the challenge can also lead to many rewards which will follow. You will get to know about the various platforms and the themes as well as the domains and what is right for you. At first, this may sound like Greek, but after a while, it becomes like reading something off the back of your hand.

However, you also have to be aware that it takes time to learn how to create this. There is a learning curve, but everyone who has been here would have crossed this path and gone onto the next stage. It can be confusing, but there are always online resources. Most of these are free. There are chats and videos, which will help you to get started.

However, people who want to take this further and market their blog, are advised to buy their own domain. This means that they have their own address. They will also have their own hosting address which they pay for every month. The advantages of this is that there is more storage space where you back up your files to.

There are those platforms which are free, but there are disadvantages, in that you don't have your own domain. You have to weigh up all the pros and cons. It can depend on whether this is more personal or whether you want the search engines to find this and whether you want this to be marketed.

It can become more complicated when you are buying a domain. But there are more advantages to this because it becomes your website. It is easier to navigate in the search engines and it is recommended that people buy a domain when they plan to grow their blog and they decide they want to make money from it.

These days it is easier to set up a blog from scratch. Themes are ready prepared and you can set these up easily because they are user friendly. They are often custom designed by web designers. It will cost you a little more, but it is definitely worthwhile than sitting and struggling with something that you are not used to. These days, you don't have to fiddle around with code, so this is obviously a very good thing.

The next thing that you have to work on is the hosting. This is where everything will be saved to. You can't do anything without the hosting. There are those which have a good reputation and which charge you by the month. You can find something that is reasonable and which provides you with a good service at the same time.
